He started playing flamenco guitar at an early age under his father, Takeaki Tokunaga. After graduating from junior high school in 2009, she moved to Spain and enrolled at the Cristina Helen Flamenco Academy in Seville. He completed the entire course in three years and then enrolled as a lecturer at the school for three years.
In 2012, he won second prize at the Peña Young Flamenco Competition in Seville, Spain. In 2019, he won 4th prize at the International Guitar Competition in Barcelona. In 2020, he won the amateur category at the SoleraFlamenca video competition in Barcelona.
