He was exposed to the arts from an early age, belonged to the drama club in junior high school, loved the stage, and moved to Tokyo to become an actor. While studying theater, she discovered flamenco and began dancing in 1998. He traveled to the West repeatedly and studied with a number of Spanish artists.
Fascinated by the unique rhythm of flamenco as well as the beauty and sound of the Spanish language, while a student at Ritsumeikan University, he participated in the National Student Spanish Speech Contest on the theme of flamenco, winning second place and a special award. He obtained a B2 in the DELE Spanish Proficiency Test.
Since 2004, he has continued to study flamenco while studying abroad in Argentina as a Japanese teacher as a JICA volunteer and later at the National Autonomous University of Mexico as a scholarship student. Won first prize at the 20th Latin American Dance Competition. After returning to Japan in 2008, he began teaching at Almadeflamenco Kyoto. After becoming independent in 2011, she hosted the Yoko Fukushima Flamenco Studio Recital Live every year.
She is currently a mother of two children. While raising children, she performs as a flamenco singer at various live performances and events.
